15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
One of things I love about Facebook is that you have a memories notification, once a day about things that you have posted in previous years. This scripture appeared today in my feed and I think my thoughts six years ago still resonate today as they did six years ago. We need to prepare at all times to not give an exposition of Scripture, or to give our own opinion on matters but as it says in 1 Peter a reason for the hope that you have in Christ! It is your testimony - why do you have hope! Also just as importantly to be able to give it with gentleness and respect. Gentleness and respect is something we do not hear or see demonstrated that much these days. It seems to about who has the right answer, or who can shout or scream the loudest. As we are all called to be witnesses and evangelist let us remember these words. Be prepared to give an answer but do it with gentleness and respect.
We are looking to start an online Bible study for those that would like to connect with the Bible. Each week a new set of material will be available for you to study at a time suitable for you. Then once a month we will get together to discuss what you have gleamed from your study.
You will be created an ACC G-suite account to access the material. If you are interested sign up here.
This week you will be able to sign up and we look to start the first week on Sunday 7th June 2020.
